Wellingborough Creative Arts Weekend will be taking place from the 15th-17th October at Wellingborough Methodist Church on Kingsway in Wellingborough. This event has been created in partnership with Made With Many and we are very excited!
Friday 15th October will kick off the weekend with a reading evening by the members of the NN8 writers group. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Come and hear their work and be inspired by the creative process. Saturday 16th October has several things happening. The exhibition of creative works will be open from 10am – 4pm for you to come and browse. We will also have a collaborative art workshop happening between these times where we will be making a Rainbow art installation to be displayed on the church fence. This is suitable for all ages. Between 11am – 1pm we will be hosting a writing workshop led by poet Lucy Anderson. This is suitable for adults, no previous experience necessary. Just bring a willingness to learn and your imagination.
Tea, coffee and cake will be available all day.
On Sunday 17th October we will be having our morning worship at 10.45am which will be a meditation on creativity led by Rev’d Kim Shorley. The exhibition will then be open again from 1pm to 5pm with tea, coffee and cake available. We will also be holding a children’s craft activity from 2pm – 4pm – a chance to be creative and maybe get a little messy…
The event is all free with donations for the refreshments. It would be lovely to see our building busy and filled with the sound of people enjoying themselves.
